It is important to understand what circumstances are taking place in your life as you read this. Are you swimming in money, flat broke, or somewhere in between? Are you reading this while lying on the deck of your own yacht? Or are you reading this while lying on the floor of a shared prison cell? Each of us has particular circumstances that are happening all around us on a daily basis. These circumstances can all be overcome, but they will either provide us an advantage or disadvantage depending on the affect they are having in our life. When you combine all of the circumstances that are taking place around you, you have a good view of "your personal environment". The following chart lists some of the environmental factors that you may face. Rate each item as it relates to you today. Remember, the important thing is to be honest with yourself. Fill in a ranking for all 7 items below and then total those items.
If the number is 28 or above, then again, I would consider this number to be high; which means we will have an easier time as we head for change. If the number is 14 or below then it will be harder for us. Those of us who scored between 14 and 28, will again fall into the "average" level of difficulty in "taking charge of our life"
Keep in mind, just because we have a "difficult environment" to overcome, it does not mean that we are doomed to fail. We can always compensate for this difficulty. How? By using our muscles, or skills, as the case may be.
